Bayern Munich coach Hansi Flick expects his team to maintain their winning streak as they face relegation-threatened Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga on Tuesday, June 16.

Bayern (73 pts) look to march towards their eighth consecutive league title, and a win over Bremen would prove enough for them to claim the title for the 30th time.

With only three games to go, second-place Borussia Dortmund, seven points behind will look to cement their spot as they square off against Mainz on Wednesday.

Leipzig, third with 62 points will also look to cement their Champions League spot when they welcome Fortuna Duesseldorf.

We want to be champions on Tuesday. We are not giving away any gifts to Werder. We want to reach our goal on Tuesday and it is up to us,” Flick said in a virtual news conference on Monday.

Bayern’s leading scorer Robert Lewandowski and top assist-man Thomas Mueller will be back from suspensions.

Bremen are in 17th place, level on points with Fortuna Duesseldorf playoff spot.

Flick recognised Bremen’s quality hinting they could still be in the Bundesliga next season.

“I think that Werder will try to close down spaces. They are keeping calm and they are backing their coach. That’s important. They have managed to get back in contact with the playoff spot. They earned points in recent weeks so all is still possible for Werder,” Flick said.

Bremen have won three of their last five games.
