Jordan Henderson and Mohamed Salah have both welcomed new additions to their families nine months after Liverpool's incredible Champions League comeback against Barcelona.

Faced with a 3-0 deficit going into the second-leg of the semi-final, Georginio Wijnaldum and Divock Origi both scored twice as the Reds stunned the Spanish giants to reach the Champions League final.

And Liverpool captain Henderson and last season's golden boot winner Salah both appear to have gone above and beyond in their celebrations after the famous Anfield night.

It is understood that Henderson's wife Rebecca Burnett has given birth to the couple's third child, alongside daughters Elexa and Alba.

Salah is father to daughter Makka and his wife is thought to have given birth to another girl.

Henderson was a stalwart in the Liverpool midfield last season, going on to lead the Reds to Champions League glory, but Salah was not even on the pitch during the famous comeback.

The Egypt star suffered a concussion in a Premier League match with Newcastle United, but watched from the stands in a t-shirt bearing the words 'Never Give Up'.

Salah returned to Liverpool's line-up for the final in Madrid and scored as the Reds triumphed 2-0 over Tottenham Hotspur.

Henderson and Mo Salah both celebrate birth of babies nine months after Liverpool’s 4-0 Barcelona victory

Players having children nine months after stunning victories is not a new phenomenon.

Manchester United defender Harry Maguire's fiancé Fern Hawkins gave birth to baby Lille Saint in April 2019, nine months after he was part of the England side who beat Colombia on penalties to reach the quarter-finals of the 2018 World Cup.

Amusingly, Maguire posted a picture of his child exactly nine months after the last 16 match.

The birth of their children is a timely one for Henderson and Salah, as Liverpool are currently midway through their Premier League winter break.

However, it is unknown yet whether the players will be available for Liverpool's trip to Norwich City on Saturday 15 February.
