Kenyan international and Kashiwa Reysol striker Michael Olunga scored 7 goals as his side demolished Kyoto Sanga 13-1 on Sunday.

The Harambee Stars striker netted his first goal of the match in the 6th minute and went on scoring his second in the 23rd minute to put his side 2-0 up in the Japanese second-tier league.

Kashiwa Reysol who have already won the J2 league as well us promoted to the J1 league continued their assault as Yusuke Segawa added the 3rd in the 27th minute before Olunga scored the 4th in the 34th minute.

Kyoto Sanga got a brace through Tomoya Koyamatsu 4 minutes later with the first half ending 4-1.

It was more misery for Kyoto Sanga as Cristiano da Silva scored the 5th goal for the champions in the 60th minute, with Olunga adding his 5th and 6th goals in the sixty-fifth and sixth seventh minutes, respectively.

Goals from Da Silva in the 70th minute and Matheus Savio in the 78th and 79th minutes respectively ensured Kashina Reysol a perfect final matchday of the season.

However, Da Silva bagged a hat-trick in the 84th minute before Olunga scored his 7th goal of the match to give Kashiwa Reysol a massive 13-1 win.

The Kenyan international has now scored 27 goals this season in the Japanese J2 league.

Olunga joined the Japanese side in August 2018 from Chinese top-tier outfit Guizhou Zhicheng and has enjoyed a fine form in his 2nd season at Kashiwa Reysol.

Having enjoyed success with the Japanese side, the Harambee Stars striker's future at the club is, however, a doubt with reports suggesting he could end up in German league Bundesliga next season.
