SportPesa Premier League Defending Champions Gor Mahia have completed the process of signing Rwandese attacking midfielder Djabel Imanishimwe.

Imanishimwe, born on May 10, 1998, at Kiramuruzi Village in Rwanda, and who currently plays for Rwandese Leading Champions, Rayon Sports FC, is also the leading scorer in the score sheet of the side with a total of 29 goals and 53 assists.

Apart from Rayon Sport which he has played for, for the last four years, after joining the side in the year 2015, he has previously played for Isonga FC (14/15) and was signed by the Kenyan Champions at a Transfer fee of Sh3 Million.

The Chief Executive officer of Gor Mahia Lodvick Aduda, who travelled to Rwanda to finalize the deal confirmed the development.

“Yes I can confirm that the deal has been signed but we cannot reveal much,” said Aduda.

With the news of Francis Kahata exit, Imanishimwe seems to be a great replacement of the 17 times winners.

Hassan Oktay, the Gor Mahia Head Coach will be a happy man to get an almost similar replacement of Kahata, who is touted to be a jewel in the Gor Mahia Midfield.

Kahata is being rumored to have been signed by USM Alger, at an undisclosed figure

Rayon confirmed this development via a tweet on their tweeter handle, thanking the player and wishing him a fond goodbye in a hashtag #ThankyouFjabel.

Meanwhile, Bandari First Choice Goalkeeper, who is also a Former Muhoroni Youth Custodian and Harambee Stars second choice Keeper Farouqu Shikalo has officially joined Tanzanian giants Yanga SC on a two-year deal.

The Former Bandari keeper put pen into paper in Cairo, where he is on National Duty on Friday.

Shikalo had been heavily tipped to join the Tanzanian side since the beginning of the year after featuring for Bandari at the SportPesa Cup.

Apart from Muhoroni and Bandari, Shikalo also played for Talanta FC, Posta Rangers and Tusker in the SportPesa Premier League.
