Paul Pogba has poked fun at his own deleted Instagram post after Jose Mourinho’s sacking with a new ‘caption this’ photo from training on Friday.

The Manchester United midfielder faced a backlash led by former United defender Gary Neville after reacting to the Portuguese boss’ sacking with a controversial post last week - which he then deleted 10 minutes later.

Pogba put up a smiling picture of himself and wrote ‘caption this’ shortly after Mourinho was axed on December 18.

The 25-year-old deleted the post 10 minutes later after over 64,000 people had liked it.

Since the arrival of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Old Trafford, Pogba has provided two assists and scored two goals.

And on Friday afternoon the World Cup winner uploaded a picture of himself and Marouane Fellaini from training on to Instagram in which he made fun of his deleted post by writing: ‘Caption this,’ followed by a rolling on the floor laughing emoji.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Pogba delivered a stirring speech in the tunnel to his United team-mates before producing a masterclass performance as they beat Huddersfield on Boxing Day.

Footage emerged of the France international rallying the troops and reminding them of their responsibilities as they prepared to step out on to the Old Trafford pitch for their pre-game warm-up. Pogba could be heard in the video saying: ‘When we go we go... pressing first ones! Now we’re at home. We go strong, we start strong!’
