Former Sony defender Sylvester Wanyama, also a brother to Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama has been appointed the club’s coac on an interim basis.

Wanyama was instrumental when Sony won their first and only league title in 2006, when the team was guided by coach Francis Baraza, now with Tusker.

Gabriel Otiende, who was the Chairman of the side when Sony won the League, has been reappointed chairman taking over from Paul Orato.

“We deliberated and reached an agreement that we pick Wanyama due to his vast experience as player with the club. He will be in charge until we find a replacement,” said Ottiende.
