Western Stima shock Bandari as Muhoroni stun Nakumatt in Kenyan Premier League ties.
Reinstated Zoo Kericho ended Kakamega Homeboyz's cinderella run after beating them 1-0 in Kericho as Western Stima saw off visiting Bandari 2-1 yesterday at Moi Stadium, Kisumu.
It was also a good day for George Maina as he made a winning start to his coaching career at Muhoroni Youth after the relegation-threatened side stunned Nakumatt 4-3 in a seven-goal thriller at Ruaraka Grounds.
In Kericho, Danson Namasaka's 37th minute wonder goal was all that Zoo needed to break Kakamega's nine-game unbeaten run.
At Ruaraka, Faruk Mudoola came off the bench to score the winning goal as Muhoroni gave Nakumatt a rude welcome back to the league since their reinstatement by the Court of Appeal on Tuesday.

It took only ten minutes for Collins Agade to break the deadlock for Muhoroni from Hassan Kiyoyo's assist before Kiyoyo doubled the lead on stroke of halftime.
Kennedy Onyango would pull a goal back for the Shoppers a few minutes after the breather before experienced John Njoroge unleashed a thunderous shot to draw level.

The visitors, however, regained the lead through Kiyoyo's penalty. Peter Nzuki also stepped up to cancel Kiyoyo's second goal of the day from the spot.
As the match headed for a draw, Maina made a tactical substitution bringing on Mudoola, who paid it back by scoring the winning goal.
In Kisumu, Robert Achema put Stima ahead on the half hour mark when he easily connected Bernard Ondieki's cross. Darius Musaga pounced on a rebound to restore parity three minutes into the second half but his celebration was cut short by Oroncham Villa's strike in the 50th minute.
The dockers piled pressure on the power men's back line searching for an equaliser but the hosts held their nerves to hand Richard Makumbi his first win since succeeding veteran coach Henry Omino a few weeks ago.
In Machakos, Kariobangi Sharks and AFC Leopards shared the spoils after their match ended in a barren draw.
Sharks could have taken the lead in the 18th minute but Calvin Odongo was denied by the cross bar from close range after a brilliant delivery from defender Paul Kamau.
Odongo then had another chance on the stroke of halftime and he only missed a sitter after being teed up by Duke Abuya.
Leopards came back into the second half a more rejuvenated side and could have gone ahead through Vincent Oburu's strike on the hour mark only for the goal to be ruled offside.
