Diego Costa special message to Chelsea after completing move away to Atletico

Diego Costa completed his move away from Stamford Bridge on Tuesday 26th September, 2017.

The Spaniard agreed to the terms of his transfer on his move will take effect on 1 January 2018.

According to a statement on his Facebook page, the striker said he will never forget the club and thanked the Chelsea family for the three years.

‘’Some cycles begin while others end. My cycle at Chelsea began three years ago – three remarkable years in all aspects – and I will never forget it…

…The wonderful fans of such equally admirable club and all team mates, as well as all clinical, administrative and logistics staff will remain forever in my mind and in my heart. Will bring them with me with the certainty that I will always be by their side as well, and I’m sure they will understand the reason why this cycle of mine has now ended …Thank you Chelsea for everything!’’ read the post.

During his three-year stint at the club, the 28-year-old won two Premier League titles and one League Cup.

Costa, 28, has found the back of the net 59 times in 120 appearances at Chelsea.

Diego Costa’s 20 league goals were contributory in ensuring the Blues were crowned champions last season.
