Kenya dealt a huge blow after losing rights to host the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN).

This is after a Confederation of African Football (CAF) executive committee meeting held in Accra, Ghana.

The decision was arrived at a media conference after a one-day meeting headed by Caf’s boss Ahmed.

Closer home, Kenyans did not take this lightly and took to social media to vent their disappointment and anger.

Football Kenya Federation president Nick Mwendwa confirmed this on social media, terming it as a wakeup urging stakeholders to pull together and do much more for the future.

Yes we lost CHAN. Bad day for Kenya. Now we continue the journey. Build stadia, develop youth, coaches and work harder. — Nick Mwendwa (@Nmwendwa) ="https://twitter.com/Nmwendwa/status/911664485940830209">September 23, 2017<
