Arsene Wenger lifts the FA Cup aloft for a record seventh time

Arsene Wenger confirmed with a smile that his Arsenal future will be decided next week after claiming a record 13th FA Cup for the club.

Some fans have spent the season calling for the Frenchman to move on but it appears they will be left disappointed.

After today's victory Wenger, asked about his future, said: "We have a board meeting on Tuesday. And on Wednesday or Thursday it will be clearer."

The Frenchman than gave a potentially telling grin.

The Gunners have stressed that Wenger's fate would not be influenced by Saturday's FA Cup final result.
