Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign Rangers wonderkid Billy Gilmour.

The Premier League leaders have swooped to beat the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal to the 15-year-old midfielder who will move to London this summer.

Gilmour has earned rave reviews following his performances for Rangers' youth side and the Scotland under-16 team.

Rangers had been preparing to fast-track him into the first team picture in a bid to keep him at the club.

Instead they will receive just over £600,000 for the teenager who had also attracted interest from Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Barcelona.

Gilmour is believed to have been at Cobham this week rubber-stamping a deal that had been first agreed two months ago.
