Injured Costa a Spain doubt for France match

Spain and Chelsea striker Diego Costa suffered an ankle injury in training on Sunday which could rule him out of Tuesday's friendly international against France, his country's football federation said.

"He stays with the squad but his participation in the game on Tuesday in Paris is uncertain," said Spanish officials in a statement.

Costa scored one of the goals in Spain's 4-1 win over Israel in a World Cup qualifier in Gijon on Friday.
