Joshua Otieno will not be able to vote in the August, 2017 election, but you can be sure the 16 year old Sony Sugar mid-fielder will play at KCOM Stadium in the UK on February 27.

The game celebrates the partnership between Hull City and SportPesa as good initiative towards the growth football in Kenya.

Otieno, who is a form three student at Kakamega high school, is among Kenyan players who were selected to take on English side Hull City on Monday.

The 16 year old believes he is now ready to take on the challenge and make Kenya proud in the most awaited match that will be televised live on KTN Home.

The selection process started back in November last year when Tigers’ coaches  travelled throughout Kenya on scouting missions and named 47 players to qualify for a training camp in January.

After two weeks of talent scouting, the visiting Hull City coaches selected an 18-man squad to travel to Hull for this prestigious tournament.

It will be no mean feat as Hull City have proven their resilience this season from holding the glorious Manchester United to a barren draw at Old Trafford and dashing Klopp’s hopes of a top four finish this season after thrashing Liverpool 2 goals to nil at KCom Stadium.

The Tigers, as they are commonly referred to are excited to host the SportPesa AllStars.

Already Kenyan fans in the UK are excited to see their home boys in action despite the ominous fact that they will be the underdogs.

Come Monday next week and the boys at Kakamega High School will be holding their breath as one of their own represents their dreams and aspirations of playing at the highest tier of world football.
