Morgan Schneiderlin has been the Premier League's most prolific fouler this season.

The Manchester United and France midfielder has committed 39 fouls in just 17 league appearances.

That's an average of 2.3 a game, more than any other player to have made more than one appearance.

Erik Lamela has been pulled up for the most fouls this season though with 44 to date. He's played in 20 games though meaning that his average is 2.2 per game.

Aston Villa midfielder Idrissa Gueye has committed 43 fouls this season, the second highest total in the league and also at a rate of 2.2 a game.

Watford's Etienne Capoue has committed 39 fouls, the same as Schneiderlin, but has done so in 23 appearances, a rate of 1.7 a game.

Lucas Leiva has committed 39 fouls for Liverpool at a rate of 2.2 a game.

Leicester's Danny Drinkwater has been pulled up for 38 fouls so far this season. Stoke's Erik Pieters has committed 35 fouls, as have Alexander Tettey and Claudio Yacob. Jordan Ayew, Eric Dier and James McArthur have been pulled up for 34 fouls this season
