Radamel Falcao has admitted he hasn't been given the opportunities he would have liked since joining Chelsea.

The Colombian moved to Stamford Bridge on a season-long loan from Monaco in the summer after spending last campaign at Manchester United.

He struggled at United, scoring four times in all competitions, but has fared even worse at Chelsea, netting just once.

The former Atletico Madrid and Porto star has not played for the Blues since October.

Speaking to magazine Hola Colombia, he said: "Chelsea are the team who bet on me, and I took the opportunity.

"However, it has been complicated because the team hasn’t started the season the best, nor have I been given the opportunities I want.

"But I’m very grateful, very happy, The future? I hope to have more opportunities in the second half of the season."

Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho had lost faith in the striker by the time he was sacked but new manager Guus Hiddink is expected to bring Falcao back into the fold.
