Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea tweeted out to Petr Cech, applauding Arsenal's New Signing for his impressive display at the Emirates Stadium during Arsenal’s 0-0 draw with Liverpool.

Cech, who arrived from Chelsea during the close-season, saved a Christian Benteke strike from point-blank range, while Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho also struck the woodwork twice.

Rodgers said he was satisfied with the performance but disappointed not to get the win after Liverpool dominated in the first half only to be kept at bay by the impressive Petr Cech.

Cech's performance caught the eye of ex-Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina, who tweeted: “Wow!! Top top saves by @PetrCech keeping Arsenal on the game...very good Liverpool tho.”

De Gea tagged Cech in a post expressing his thoughts with hands clapping.
