Jose Mourinho has began his summer clear-out at Chelsea - and Gael Kakuta is the first to go.

Kakuta, who only played 16 times for the Blues, will join Sevilla on a permanent contract when the transfer window officially opens on July 1.

The Frenchman is the first of many linked with moves away from the Premier League champions, as the likes of Loic Remy, Filipe Luis and John Obi Mikel could be set to follow suit.

January signing Juan Cuadrado could also find himself leaving after failing to impress since making his move from Fiorentina.

Petr Cech is expected to join Arsenal this summer, while attacking midfielder Oscar has also been touted for an exit, with Juventus lurking.

Kakuta is the first player to officially depart the Premier League champions this summer after failing to break into the first team, despite initially signing for the club back in 2007.

He was regularly shifted out on loan and enjoyed spells at Fulham, Bolton, Dijon, Vitesse Arnhem and most recently Rayo Vallecano.

Despite being named Academy Scholar of the Year previously, Kakuta only ever made five starts for the Blues.
