Arsenal are preparing a £24m deal for Barcelona forward Pedro Rodriguez in the summer, that would see Walcott leaving for Reds, according to the Daily Express.

The Spaniard is set to leave the Nou Camp after the arrival of Luis Suarez in the summer and has fell down the pecking order under Luis Enrique.

The Express claim Arsenal enquired about the availability of the Spaniard last summer and will be looking to revive their interest. If Arsene Wenger signs the £24m-valued winger, Walcott could be surplus to requirements at Arsenal and be given the chance to leave.

Despite his limited play time, Pedro has scored 10 goals this season.
