Arsenal considering move for Mattia

Arsenal will consider launching a £12million bid to sign Genoa goalkeeper Mattia Perin, reports says.

Italian reports claim the 22-year-old is top of Arsene Wenger's wish list now his hopes of signing Malaga shot-stopper Guillermo Ochoa have dissipated.

Perin has frequently been dubbed the 'next Gigi Buffon,' and would seriously challenge the inconsistent Wojciech Szczesny and Colombian keeper David Ospina for a regular role in the first-team.

Many perceive Szczesny to be error prone, and his two mistakes against Southampton will hardly have banished that unwanted label from supporter's minds.
