The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) South Coast League resumes this weekend with eight matches on the card.

The league was suspended last weekend following chaos, which rocked Mombasa last week following the killing of Islamist preacher Aboud Rogo.

Four matches will be played today with the same number of matches scheduled for tomorrow.

West Ham take on Veczular at Ronald Ngala primary School today while SS Assad face Birikani Hotstars in Migundini, Kokotoni in a Zone A match.

In other matches Mombasa Polytechnic have a date with Gombato at Mzimuni. Shanzu United top on the log in Zone A with 32 points from 15 matches. Mombasa Polytechnic top Zone B with 30 points from 13 matches.

The top three teams from each zone will play in a mini league to determine the provincial champions. The champion will face the winners of North Coast, Eastern, Nairobi and Central Provincial leagues and the overall champion will earn promotion to the nationwide division one Eastern Zone next season.

Meanwhile, Kenya’s Caf Commissar Mohammed Omar Abubakar has been appointed to oversee the Sudan and Somalia under-17 qualifier match.

Caf Manager in charge of Youth Competition Khaled Nassar in a letter addressed to Omar said the match would be played on a one-leg basis and not two-leg system.

He said the first leg was scheduled for this week in Sudan with the second leg set for September 21 in Somalia.

However due to insecurity in Somalia, Nassar said the two countries have agreed to play the match on a one-leg basis on September 21 in Sudan.

Omar said the winner of the match would automatically advance to the next level of the championships whose finals are set for Morocco next year.
