AFC Leopards fought from a goal down to thrash Posta Rangers 3-1 in a FKF Premier League match played at Thika Stadium on Sunday.

Leopards started the match on the wrong foot after their two goals in the opening 15 minutes were disallowed. The situation went from bad to worse after falling behind in added time with Calvin Odongo netting for the hosts.

Furthermore, Leopards coach Patrick Aussems would be red carded for protesting the goal.

The Belgian tactician argued that Odongo scored the goal after the two additional minutes indicated by the centre referee had lapsed.

In the final half, Ingwe put behind their first half troubles and got back into the match with Brian Wanyama levelling the scores at the hour mark.

A minute later, Washington Munene gave the visitors a 2-1 lead after converting from the spot. This is after the referee pointed to the spot when Ranger’s defender Kennedy Owino brought Kingsley Olaniyi.

Leopards put the result beyond the reach of the mailmen in the 75th minute with Kayci Odhiambo converting a long range free kick to seal a 3-1 win.

The 13-time champions are 11th with 24 points, while Posta are eighth with 26 points.

Elsewhere, struggling Nzoia Sugar held Nairobi City Stars to a 1-1 draw at Sudi Stadium in Bungoma.

Joseph Mwangi scored in stoppage time to deny City Stars maximum points. Anthony Kimani had given the visitors the lead in the first half.

City Stars moved to second on 32 points despite the draw, five below leaders Kakamega Homeboyz.
