K’Ogalo drop points in day of midweek FKF Premier League draws

Record Kenyan champions Gor Mahia have missed a chance to narrow the gap on leaders Kakamega Homeboyz to three points after sharing the spoils with Bidco United in a midweek ="https://www.standardmedia.co.ke/sports/topic/fkf-premier-league">FKF Premier League< match that ended in 1-1 draw at Kasarani Stadium.

Jacob Onyango had given Bidco a first half 1-0 lead only for Samuel Onyango scored from the spot to deny Bidco a win.

The draw left K’Ogalo third in the log with 26 points same as second-placed Nairobi City Stars but with an inferior goal difference. Bidco remain 11th with 18 points.

At Nyayo Stadium, the game between Kenya Police and Ulinzi Stars which had created a buzz around social media circles with a fascinating banter ended in a barren draw.

Not even the league's current top scorer Clifton Miheso could find the back of the net in the much-hyped encounter which extended Police's unbeaten run to eight matches.

Other matches saw 10-man Kariobangi Sharks hold Sofapaka to a 0-0 draw.

Samuel Olwande was red carded before halftime in the match staged at Utalii Grounds but Sofapaka could not take advantage of the numerical prowess as Sharks held on to secure a point.

On the other hand, newbies FC Talanta moved to within three points off second placed City Stars with a hard fought 3-2 win over Nzoia Sugar in Bungoma.
