Kakamega Homeboyz will be seeking to extend their unbeaten run in the FKF Premier League when they host Mathare United at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega on Wednesday.

Homeboyz are unbeaten in their six matches played so far where they have won five and drawn once and lie joint top of the standings with 16 points same as Kariobangi Sharks who have played one game more.

The Kakamega based side has defeated Nzoia Sugar, Wazito and Kenya Police (1-0), Vihiga Bullets (3-2), Posta Rangers (2-0) and drew against Bandari (1-1).

A win against Mathare will see them extend their lead atop the standings.

The Slum Boys on the other hand are enduring another difficult season after losing their last three games against Talanta, Sharks and Bidco United where they have conceded a total of nine goals.

In Nairobi, Kariobangi Sharks, who are at the summit of the log in the 18-team league with 16 points, will face 15th-placed Kenya Police at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani from 3pm.

Sharks go into their clash with Police as favourites following an impressive run of three wins in a row against Mathare (6-0), Tusker (3-0) and City Stars (2-1).

Sharks have been ruthless in front of goal, netting 16 goals in seven matches and conceding four.

On the other hand, Police are yet to hit the ground running on their return to the top flight league.

Their 2-0 loss to Sofapaka last Saturday was their fifth defeat of the season.

In the other two matches of the day, Sofapaka entertain Wazito at Wundayi Stadium while Nairobi City Stars face struggling Nzoia Sugar at Ruaraka grounds.
