Newbies FC Talanta and Vihiga Bullets will each be looking to register their first win of the 2021/22 FKF Premier League season when the two sides clash at Kasarani Stadium today.

Talanta, who were promoted to the top league after winning the National Super League last season have played two matches, all which have ended in a draw.

The Ken Kenyatta led side have registered identical 1-1 draws against last year’s runners up KCB and Wazito which leaves them 12th in the log with two points.

Speaking ahead of the match, Talanta captain Barrack Odhiambo said they have been slowly adapting to the top league and are now ready to bag their first win after avoiding defeat in their two opening matches.

“The moral is high coz we are new comers and we are yet to lose too we want to pick positives and to work on our mistakes to ensure our first win,” said Odhiambo.

Bullets on the other side have not enjoyed their short taste of football in the topflight league after losing two of their opening three matches.

After their season opener draw with Bidco United in Kakamega, the Vihiga County team has conceded seven goals in their last two matches after going down 4-0 to Posta Rangers and 3-0 to Kariobangi Sharks. Tomorrow, Kariobangi Sharks will be seeking to maintain their perfect start to the season when they host Wazito at Kasarani.

Sharks have won their two opening matches against Rangers and Bullets and a win over troubled Wazito will see them join the top four teams. Wazito on the other hand have endured a difficult time to the season after losing two and drawing one in their three matches played so far with their latest being a 3-1 defeat from Nairobi City Stars on Thursday.

In Kakamega, Homeboyz will also be aiming to maintain their 100 percent start to the season when they host  in-form Posta Rangers at Bhukungu Stadium.

Rangers are enjoying a good run which has seen them score six goals in two matches including a shocking 2-0 win over Bandari.

Other matches will feature a wounded Bandari hosting AFC Leopards fresh from losing the Mashemeji Derby during the midweek matches as Sofapaka host KCB.

Nzoia Sugar will entertain Mathare United as City Stars host Bidco United.
