Kenya Police thrashed Nzoia Sugar 3-1 to register their first win of the 2021-2022 Football Kenya Federation Premier League season in a midweek match played at Kasarani Annex on Wednesday.

Former Gor Mahia winger and Police new signing Clifton Miheso put a Man-of-the-Match performance to inspire the service men to victory after scoring and assisting a goal in the match which witnessed three goals in five minutes.

Miheso gave Police the lead in the 27th minute before Erick Kipkirui double the lead in the 41st minute.

Former AFC Leopards striker John Makwatta opened his account for the season to stretch Police lead to 3-0 in the 45th minute before Gaetan Masha scored the sugar men’s consolation goal at the stroke of halftime.

Heading into the match, the newbies had lost to Kakamega Homeboyz 1-0 and 2-0 to Nairobi City Stars in their two opening matches.

The win propelled Police out of the bottom of the log temporarily.
