Thibaut Courtois extends Real Madrid contract

Real Madrid’s tall Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has agreed to extend his contract at the club by 5 years.

The Spanish club announced on Monday on their website the 29-year-old will wear the Galactico colours until June 2026.

“Real Madrid CF and Thibaut Courtois have agreed to extend the player's contract, which will remain linked to the club for the next five seasons, until June 30, 2026,” the club said. 

Courtois signed for Real Madrid from Chelsea in 2018 for, having earlier spent three years on loan with rivals Atletico Madrid.

He has won only one trophy at the Santiago Bernabeau, the 2019-20 La Liga trophy.
