Three key Nakuru Queens stalwarts have left the club to join the Kenya Women Premier League champions Thika Queens ahead of the league championships next season.

The trio is defender Dorcas Neema, winger Stellah Anyango and striker Rebecca Akinyi who have already started training with Thika Queens in readiness for next season's Kenya Women Premier League expected to kick off in the next season October.

Their departure has left Nakuru Queens licking their wounds of when they'll get formidable replacements and assistant coach Calistus Moraa said they have started scouting for possible replacements of the three players who should fit into their shoes.

"They have left us but we are still shopping for their possible replacements and we are only interested in talented players who can easily fit into their (trio) shoes ahead of next season," Moraa told Standard Sports.

Moraa confirmed that the trio left their den after the finals of the Kenya Women Premier League match between champions Thika Queens and Gaspo at ASK Nakuru Showground last month. Thika Queens beat Gaspo to emerge the champions.

"They'll soon be replaced and as we take our time to get perfect replacements and before we do that, we'll carry on with our normal training sessions ahead of the kick-off of the top league," she observed.

While expressing confidence in boosting the team's defense and striking force, Moraa said that was their main concern after the trio's departure and it'll soon be a thing of the past if energies invested in scouting for their replacements is anything to go by.

"We are keen to have formidable replacements of the trio but we're confident we'll soon get potential talents to replace Neema, Anyango and Akinyi if energies invested in scouting for their replacements is anything to go by," Moraa who is one of the upcoming few female coaches in the country said.

She confirmed their home ground remains ASK Nakuru Showground where all their home matches will be played next season.

Moraa expressed hope of finishing in a respectable position next season having been beaten by Thika Queens in the semifinals of the league championships last season at the same venue (ASK Nakuru Showground).
