AFC Leopards on Friday returned to winning ways after a commanding 2-0 win over visiting Bandari FC in their Football Kenya Federation Premier League match at Thika Sub County Stadium on Friday.

Leopards came into the match in the wake of last weekend’s FKF Cup final loss to eventual winners and rivals Gor Mahia and needed a win to push their title ambitions.

It was a perfect response from Patrick Aussems' men after they had been locked out of the continental tournament following their 4-1 defeat to K'Ogalo on penalties in the cup final.

Super sub Peter Thiongo and Robert Mudenyu scored in the final half to seal the victory, Ingwe’s 13th win of the season.

The win saw Leopards narrow the gap between them and leaders Tusker to seven points as the race for the title heats up.

n Nakuru, Boniface Omondi and Kevin Kimani scored in either half to inspire Wazito to a comfortable 2-0 win over Vihiga United at ASK Showground.

Kimani broke the deadlock from the spot on the stroke of halftime before the former Gor Mahia man scored deep into injury time to secure the win for Franci Kimanzi's side.

The win propelled Wazito to sixth with 34 points, five points behind Gor Mahia.
