FKF Premier League: Sofapaka eye to continue good run as Ulinzi, Bidco seek redemption

Sofapaka will be eyeing to continue their good run when they host Vihiga United at Wundanyi Stadium on Sunday (today) as round 23 matches of the Football Kenya Premier League kick-off.

Fresh from their narrow 1-0 win over relegation-threatened Western Stima, Batoto ba Mungu who have been registering mixed results will be seeking to get into the bottom half table with a win over Vihiga.

Currently 12th in the standings, Sofapaka will be banking on inform midfielder Lawrence Juma who has scored 11 goals, five goals behind leader Eric Kapaito of Sharks.

In Nakuru, Kakamega Homeboyz will be seeking to end their three-match winless run when they host a wounded Ulinzi Stars at the Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) Showground.

Although the Nakuru ASK Showground is Ulinzi’s home turf, Homeboyz will be the hosts amid the government ban on sporting activities in Nyanza and Western counties following a spike in Covid-19 cases.

Homeboyz will be heading into the match in the wake of two consecutive draws and a loss as Ulinzi seek to turn around their disappointing 4-1 loss to Caf Champions League side and league leaders Tusker.

In Thika, Wazito will square it out with Posta Rangers in Kiambu aiming to build on their 1-0 win over Nairobi City Stars.

In Mombasa, Bandari will welcome Nairobi City Stars at Mbaraki Sports Club.
