Kenyan giants Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards will be hoping to continue their push for a double this season when they clash with Bidco United and Equity in today’s Betway Cup semifinals respectively.

Leopards will take on giant killers Equity in an early kick off match (1pm) at Utalii Grounds before paving way for the second fixture between Gor Mahia and Bidco (3.30pm) at the same venue.

But having watched Bidco beat Nairobi City Stars 1-0 and John Baraza’s Equity upset holders Bandari (1-0) in the last eight, the two archrivals know their character will once again be tested.

However, they are know they have a tough task today as they look to set up a Mashemeji derby final on July 4.

Just like Gor Mahia, who last claimed the domestic cup in 2012 are seven points shy off FKF Premier League leaders Tusker, joint-second placed AFC Leopards are eager to reclaim the trophy they last won in 2017.

While Ingwe overcame Tusker 1-0 on Wednesday to secure their semifinals ticket, K’ogalo silenced Kariobangi Sharks 2-0 in other quarterfinals encounter.

And save for earning a ticket to represent the country in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup, the winners of the domestic cup will pocket Sh2 million in prize money.
