="https://www.standardmedia.co.ke/sports/football/2001401623/paul-pogba-speaks-out-about-exit-speculation">Paul Pogba< is reportedly open to ending speculation about his Manchester United future and is willing to discuss a new contract with the club.

The Frenchman’s contract situation has been rarely out of the headlines ever since a 12-month extension was triggered by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last year.

That means he will be tied to the club until the end of next season, where he could be available on a free transfer.

Pogba sparked concerns that he will try and force an exit, when he admitted it would be a “dream” to join Spanish champions Real Madird.

Agent Mino Raiola, then doubled down on those claims, suggesting his Old Trafford career was over and he would push for a move at some point in 2021.

His presence in the United midfield has been amplified in recent weeks, with the World Cup winner’s absence through injury coinciding with a loss of form in front of goal.

The 27-year-old, who struggled for minutes at the start of the season, enjoyed somewhat of a United renaissance over the festive period, stringing together a number of impressive performances.

Raiola then suggested his stance had softened, claiming he never had any intention of destabilising his client’s season with the Red Devils.

"I just expressed an opinion, I didn't want to cause any problem," Raiola told BBC Sport last month.

"I don't think that it destabilised anybody, because they had a fantastic run and they were even first, for a period, in the league.”

And now, United. No report that Pogba is ‘open’ to extending his stay and is willing to start talks over a potential new deal.

The update comes just weeks after Solskjaer admitted there had been an open dialogue between club and player, with a decision on his future needing to be made in the coming months.

Solksjaer said: “We’ve got a good open dialogue with Paul so what we talk about and how we see that situation remains between us.

“Our conversations remain private, of course. But for example, Paul is a Manchester United player through and through.

“He’s been here in two spells. He came as a kid, he’s learnt about the history of the club, the passion of the club. He wants to do the best for United when he’s here and I think we’ve seen that.”
