Harambee Stars ranked 104 in latest FIFA world rankings

The Kenya national football team, Harambee Stars, has been ranked at position 104 in the world in the latest FIFA rankings.

Harambee Stars have not been involved in any international match this year, a result that leaves them stagnant, not dropping or climbing up the standings as per their last rank released last year.

Their last assignment was in November 2020 when they played Comoros in a double-header drawing 1-1 at home before falling 2-1 away.

They are on 1187 points and as a result, there was no movement in terms of positions since the points remained constant as well.

Kenya has remained second in the East Africa region.

East African giants Uganda have dropped four places down to 83rd.

This is after the Cranes were eliminated from the African Nations Championship held in Cameroon recently after a 0-0 draw with Rwanda while losing 2-1 and 5-2 against Togo and eventual champions Morocco respectively.

In the latest ranking Uganda have 1301 points, six less than what they had a month ago.

Just like Kenya, their neighbours Tanzania have stalled in position 135 despite adding two points in their tally after playing the Democratic Republic of Congo in an international friendly.

Sudan remain in position 127 with 1124 points while Rwanda have managed to increase their points from 1099 to 1103 but have remained at position 133.

CHAN winners Morocco (33rd, + 2), and runners-up Mali (54th, + 3) have made the most progress.

Third-placed Guinea (72nd, + 1) and quarter-finalists Congo (90th, + 1) have also advanced.

Belgium, France, Brazil, England and Portugal continue to occupy the top spots, with the leading trio of Belgium, France and Brazil only separated by 37 points.

The next FIFA World Ranking will be published on April 8.
