FKF Electoral Board issues clarification on Candidate Endorsements

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Electoral Board on Monday, August 17 issued a statement clarifying on Candidate endorsements following enquiries regarding the requirement that candidates for all elections seek nominations from Five FKF members.

According to the Federation, members will be defined as follows:

Members of FKF:

a) The FKF Premier League Clubs;

b) The FKF National Super League Clubs;

c) The FKF National Division One League Clubs;

d) The FKF Division Two League Clubs;

e) The 48 Counties of FKF;

f) The FKF recognized Association for Football Referees;

g) The FKF recognized Association for Football Coaches;

h) The FKF recognized Association for Football players;

i) The FKF recognized Association for Women’s Football. The FKF Women’s Premier League representing both the Women’s Premier League and Women’s Division One League.

Also, endorsement letters should meet several criteria to guarantee an auditable trail of endorsements. They issued the following examples:

Referee

Either:

• Letter from the respective branch or National office

• Appointment letter to officiate an FKF sanctioned match

• A membership card to any Referee body recognized by FKF

• Among others

Coach

Either:

• Letter from the respective club

• Letter from respective FKF branch or National office

• A membership card to any coaching body recognized by FKF

• Among others.

Players (both men and women)

Either:

• A valid playing card issued by respective branch or National office

• A letter from respective club

• Among others
