Despite Wazito FC owner Ricardo Badoer giving reasons why he sacked 11 players, Kenya Football Coaches Association (KEFOCA) chairman Robert Matano has not taken up the matter lightly.

Last week the businessman who acquired Wazito FC in 2018 revealed he had to release the players because they had failed to live up to expectations and were signed without his approval.

Among them included custodian Steven Njunge, midfielder Teddy Osok, forwards Victor Ndinya, Pistone Mutamba, Derrick Otanga, goalkeeper Kevin Omondi, Paul Acquah from Ghana, DR Congo’s Piscas Kirenge, Augustine Otu of Liberia, and Togolese Issifou Bourahana.

The club owner who loves using the "F" word whenever his team loses a match is now on receiving end from the coaches body.

Matano condemned the use of vulgar language by the Swedish investment banker. He said Badoer should know that Wazito FC players deserve respect.

The Tusker coach also failed short of calling Badoer racist claiming that he does not respect Kenyans yet has invested in the country.

He said he appreciates Badoer's investment, but must desist from abusing players and coaches.

He advised Badoer to work hand in hand with his team and be patient if he wants results.

He said Badoer should do things with a clean mind and be patient and he will realise results saying he should understand players are paid to work.

Wazito FC was founded in 2011 by merging the University of Nairobi college team and a group of alumni.
