Confederation of African Football plans to create Women's African Champions

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced plans to create Women's African Champions League, a move that would help grow the women's football in Africa.
Currently, there are no football club competitions for Women’s football in Africa while Europe already have a Women’s Champions League.
Confirming plans to increase the visibility, quality and appeal of women’s football, CAF listed the creation of the Women’s Champions League as one of the items on the agenda for the forthcoming Executive Committee meeting slated for Tuesday, June 30.
CAF believes that creating Women’s Champions League is the best way for federations and clubs to invest in women’s football.
