Real Madrid fans have voted for their most desired signing with a Chelsea star topping their choice

Eden hazard’s imminent departure from Chelsea may be rubbing the blues faithful the wrong way but their counterparts at Santiago Bernabeu are pregnant with anxiety.

This is after the Los Blancos supporters voted overwhelmingly to urge the club management to reel in the Belgian and replace departed Cristiano Ronaldo.

The poll also revealed stark contrast in popularity between the Belgian and France’s Paul Pogba, who is also rumoured to be heading to the Bernabeu.

While the former is popular in Madrid, the latter is right at the bottom of the log after a lacklustre season at Manchester United.

Fans who voted in favour of the United midfielder are a drop in the ocean compared to those who don’t want him. Only 13,000 of 160,000 voted for the arrival of the world cup winner in Madrid according to Spanish newspaper AS.

A huge chunk of them (53,700) want the arrival of Hazard after he said his goodbyes to his current employers last week.

After leading Eintracht Frankfurt to the Europa League semi-finals this season, Luka Jovic managed second place with 34,700 votes followed by spur’s midfield maestro Christian Eriksen who received 25,300 votes following his Champions League exploits.
