FKF activates two-day FIFA DTMS workshop at Strathmore

Football Kenya Federation on Monday, March 18 launched a two-day FIFA Domestic Transfer Matching System (DTMS) workshop at the Strathmore Business School.

The DTMS is a reduced version of the globally-used International Transfer Matching System (ITMS), which helps clubs easily manage international and local transfers of both male and female players, as well as generating transfer activity reports from several quarters.

The system is useful is enhancing transparency in the football business as well as ensuring that all deals are tracked from start to finish.

“FIFA is aiming at digitizing not only international but also domestic transfers. It is for this reason that FKF has in conjunction with FIFA invited local clubs to take them through this system,” Frank Ogolla, FKF Head of Competitions & TMS Manager said.

Officials from the Kenya Premier League, Women Premier League clubs as well as the National Super League will all be taken through the basics of the system, with the addition of the player transfer process.

FKF plans to effect the system during the July transfer window.
