Armoured Brigade of Isiolo yesterday defeated Artillery Battalion of Embakasi by a solitary goal as the Chief of Defence Forces Women Football Cup kicked off in Lanet, Nakuru.

Spinchad Mokaya scored the lone goal in the 26th minute. Mokaya, who was the woman of the match, unleashed a powerful volley that beat Artillery Battalion custodian Mercy Nderitu. [Ben Ahenda]
