Kenya's Under-20 women's team has intensified preparations at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos County ahead of their Fifa U-20 World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia.

The match will be played at the Hawass International Stadium in Ethiopia on September 17. The return leg is scheduled for September 29.

This will be the second time Kenya is taking part in the qualifiers following their debut in 2011, when they were eliminated in the third round by Tunisia.

The national side, under the guidance of Caroline Ajowi, has been camping in Machakos since they returned from Jordan where they played two friendly matches and won both (2-0 and 2-1).

In the first round, Kenya defeated Botswana 7-1 in the first leg. In other round one matches, Nigeria will play against Tanzania as Guinea takes on Cameroon. [Rebecca Jebet]
