City ready to take summer spending past £300million to bring in Alexis Sanchez and Jonny Evans

Manchester City are prepared to take their spending past the £300million mark to land Alexis Sanchez and Jonny Evans.

City are determined to test Arsenal’s resolve over Sanchez with a £70million offer to reunite the Chile star with Pep Guardiola at the Etihad.

Sanchez is ready to return from his abdominal injury and City believe they can persuade Arsenal to cash in on the contract rebel, who has just 10 months left on his Emirates deal, despite Arsene Wenger’s insistence he is not for sale.

The Blues have already splashed out £210million during their record-breaking transfer window and have earmarked the cash for Sanchez if the Gunners give them the green light to negotiate.

City are also keen on Evans to strengthen their centre-half options and West Brom boss Tony Pulis would be prepared to sell his captain for £25million.
