Arsenal 'set to bid for Martins and Carvalho'

Arsenal are reportedly preparing to launch a £70million swoop for Sporting CP duo Gelson Martins and William Carvalho.
According to Portuguese daily A Bola, Arsene Wenger is ready to splash the cash on winger Martins, 22, and defensive midfielder Carvalho, 25, as the Londoners face up to at least a season without Champions League football.
The Portuguese double act would follow defender Sead Kolasinac to the Emirates following the Bosnian’s free transfer from Schalke.
And Arsenal fans may have to pinch themselves if Wenger lands his targets, with Alexandre Lacazette set to complete a £44m switch from Lyon this week.
