Jose Mourinho is considering swoops for Real Madrid duo Raphael Varane and Toni Kroos this summer, according to Don Balon.

Mourinho has hinted that he will continue to splash the cash at Old Trafford after breaking the world record transfer fee for Paul Pogba last summer.

He is reportedly targeting two big names from his former club this summer.

Varane, 23, was handed his Real debut by Mourinho and is one of the most promising defenders on the continent - and now the United boss is said to be urging him to try his hand at the Premier League.

Kroos, meanwhile, has recently signed a new deal at Real but is rumoured to be unsettled, so with an attractive bid, the deal could go through.
