Kenyan international Michael Olunga’s move from Swedish club Djurgarden to Chinese league club Guizhou Hengfeng Zhicheng has brought about different reactions from different parties.

The Chinese Super League side on Tuesday announced they had bought Olunga from his Swedish club in what is reported to be a Ksh. 470 million move.

Fans across social media platforms have had their say on the big money switch with others arguing that he has ‘gone for money’ at the expense of developing his career.

Kenyan international Dennis Oliech who has since retired from international football backed Olunga on his move and even encouraged him to aim higher as the sky is the limit.

“I am sure Olunga will do well in China and in a few years he will return to an even bigger club in Europe. Give him time," Oliech said.
