Gerard Pique is facing a ban after comparing refereeing to “roulette”.

The Barcelona defender was speaking after his side’s shock 2-1 defeat to Athletic Bilbao in the Copa del Rey first-leg clash.

According to La liga football association, the Technical Committee of Referees will analyse Pique’s comments on Monday and then decide on what action to take.

The most serious offence would result in a ban for the Spain star, who in August 2015 copped a four-game ban following his dismissal in the Spanish Super Cup against Athletic club.
