Zlatan Ibrahimovic was controversially denied his record-equalling goal at Old Trafford today.

The Swedish striker was adjudged to have caught the Boro keeper with a high boot - to the dismay of Old Trafford.

On 40 minutes Ibrahimovic raised his boot to poke the ball into the net – but was incredibly adjudged to have committed a foul on Boro keeper Victor Valdes.

Ibrahimovic got to the ball well before the ex-Manchester keeper, and it was only on the follow-through that his foot connected with Valdes.
