England midfielder Eric Dier has signed a new contract keeping him at Tottenham Hotspur until 2021, the Premier League club announced on Tuesday.

The 22-year-old, who joined the North Londoners from Sporting Lisbon in 2014, previously had a contract to 2020.

Dier has made 87 appearances for Spurs, scoring six goals, and made his full England debut last November. He now has 11 caps and has scored twice for England.

Tottenham finished third in the Premier League last season and play AS Monaco in their opening Champions League Group E match at Wembley on Wednesday.
