Gor Mahia held as Sony rally to draw with hosts Muhoroni

Kakamega Homeboyz came from a goal down to force hosts Gor Mahia to a one-all draw at Moi Stadium, Kisumu, yesterday.
Ali Bhai scored in the 85th minute of the game to deny the hosts an outright win and cancel a Meddie Kagere early lead.
Kagere, who was making a comeback had scored in the 12th minute to put K’Ogalo 1-0 lead half time lead in a game they dominated until the 75th minute.
The Rwandan import could and should have put his name on the score-sheet with just a minute gone into the encounter but failed to connect an Erick "Marcelo" Ochieng cross. Kakamega Homeboyz then came back into the game and thought they had taken the lead in the eleventh minute when Athman Buki found the back of the net, but his effort was disallowed for offside.
In the second half, Kakamega Homeboyz returned a better side, but took them long to hurt Gor Mahia. It was not until the 85th minute that Homeboyz brought their pressure to bear as Moses Mudavadi delivered a cross from the left wing from, which Bhai side-footed into the net past Boniface Oluoch.

In Muhoroni, hosts Muhoroni were forced to a 2-2 draw by visiting Sony Sugar. Francis Ocholla scored the first goal for Muhoroni in the 10th minute, but four minutes later Justine Monda cancelled the lead for the game to end 1-1 at half time.
In the second half, Lwamba Muluondwa added the hosts’ the second with only three minutes gone into the second half but Amos Asembeka ensured that the hosts did not enjoy maximum points.
