Nicolas Otamendi wants to seal his move to Manchester United in the next 10 days.

The defender has been a transfer target for the Red Devils throughout the summer, and is reportedly threatening to not turn up for Valencia training until his future is resolved.

He is due to report back for pre-season on July 27, and is keen to push through the move before that date.

United have struggled to replace long-term defensive partnership Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand, and Van Gaal knows he needs reinforcements to aid their title challenge.

The interest in Otamendi has taken a back seat while the Old Trafford outfit chase Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos, and Los Blancos are also monitoring the situation, should Ramos move to the Premier League.
