Former KCB rugby player Franklin Amiani (holding trophy) has passed on. Amiani, died on Sunday in Mombasa. He played in Kenya 15s international and KCB. Amiani was an affable, easy going player off the pitch but an aggressive star on the pitch. He helped KCB achieve success as part of the side that won three Kenya Cup titles between 2005 and 2007. He also tasted success in the Enterprise Cup and Impala Floodlit as well as the Rugby Super Series as part of the Lions franchise in the 2008 edition. Nick named “Stooge,” Amiani played for Kenya between 2004 and 2008.
