SUPERSPORT'S OFFER TO FANS: Desailly to commentate during Nations Cup in Equatorial Guinea

SuperSport will provide live broadcast of all matches and will be supplemented by a host of various programmes during the African Cup of Nations tournament starting today.

Former France and Chelsea star defender Marcel Desailly is among star studded anchors who will be involved in the analysis of the matches, the company’s General Manager East Africa Auka Gacheo said.

Auka took the occasion of the launch of the Nations Cup to also say SuperSport has so far spent Sh850 million on producing sports events in the country.

“This is proof of their regard for the country and efforts to raise sporting standards,” he said.

“Through MultiChoice, SuperSport has made significant investments in local sports and this is unmatched by any other operator in Africa,” he said.

Gacheo was speaking when the company announced plans for the live broadcast of this year’s Africa Cup of Nations finals that kick off in Equatorial Guinea.

SuperSport are currently the broadcast rights holders for the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) having the deal for the first time in 2008.

He announced that the company will give their subscribers all the 32 matches live. Fans will also an opportunity for a live interaction with their favorite teams during the duration of the three week tournament.

Apart from SuperSport, fans those on the GOtv channel will also have a chance to watch all the 32 matches live.
